Eventpower have been leading the way in power requirements for most major events around Melbourne for the past decade and have recently become the house Sparky’s for Australia’s leading outdoor wine festival        A Day On The Green.

Phaseshift had been looking at getting in more Power Lock Distros for their touring events and had been looking at the leading Power Lock Distros on the Market. Troy Brown had been talking with Mark Jamison on and off about the idea of building the Distro’s for some time but had never actually sat down and nutted it all out until now.

Mark was wrapped about the idea and the challenge of making these Distros to suit the touring needs, up till now Eventpower had just supplied the wheel out distro for total event power installations, so this was a good change for the crew at Eventpower, which have all so been commissioned by the Sydney Opera House to build similar rack mount distribution systems to update there ageing ones.

With finalized plans Mark went away and said I will see you in a few weeks with the finished product. Mark asked for our logo to put on the Distro was a great surprise as we didn’t even think about doing this.

Phaseshift took delivery of 2 x Version1 Eventpower Touring Distros and could not be happier with the quality, the look and craftsmanship that have gone into them. Both Distros arrived and went straight onto Creamfields. Mark and his team have done them self’s proud on these Distros and we are sure another order will be placed for more in the future as Phaseshift look forward to working on more projects with Eventpower Solutions.

Californian Rock act Maroon 5 just finished a quick 3 city tour of Australia with theirCrazy Love show lit by William Sheldon, and Phaseshift was right there to show them the sites.

The rig has thirty-one Robe Robin 600 LED washes working with twenty - three MAC700 Spots and twenty - four MAC700 washes, which according to William provides a fantastic balance. “The Robins are used around the stage on 5 Vertical tower Upstage where they provide a very nice, warm light,” “I’m quite impressed by them; they’re reliable, compact and have a richer colour spectrum" says William.
The Phaseshift crew were praised once again for their hard work, with tour manager Alan Hornall stating "I was really impressed and I will be recommending you as my preferred lighting vendor in Australia from here on in."

The 2010 Bruce Lynton Charity Ball marked 10 years since the event’s original inception. Over this time in excess of one million dollars has been raised for local charities. 2010 proved no exception with $163,916.90 raised for beneficiaries Cancer Council Queensland, Guide Dogs Queensland, Surf Life Saving and for the first time Youngcare.

The event was held on Saturday 17th April at RACV Royal Pines Resort with close to 800 guests in attendance. Iconic Aussie music legends Mental as Anything and The Black Sorrows headlined the event with local band The Accidents ensuring the night was danced away into the early hours.

The event was designed by Dave Jackson and Dave Taylor with Davey T programming and operating the night whilst Dave J behaved himself under the close eye of his wife.

Over the years the annual Bruce Lynton Charity Ball has raised well in excess of $1 million dollars and Phaseshift looks forward to supporting the Ball Again in 2011.
